The leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Bedri Hamza, announced that he has signed the national petition in support of former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army who are being tried at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague.

Through a post on social media, Hamza said this is a way to express support for former president Hashim Thaci, former Assembly speaker Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, Rexhep Selimi and their fellow fighters.

He stressed that it is the duty of every citizen to stand by those who, according to him, contributed to Kosovo’s freedom and statehood.

Hamza added that the liberation war was defensive and just, expressing confidence that justice will ultimately reaffirm this.
