The Democratic Party of Kosovo has proposed a motion, where the resolution requires the government to withdraw from three draft laws. The opposition estimates that the draft law for the Prosecutorial Council of Kosovo, for the Independent Media Commission and for Public Officials is contrary to the constitutional spirit in Kosovo. The ruling party, Levizja Vetëvendosje, did not agree with this, which said that these three draft laws have followed all the procedures. This motion did not pass, 23 MPs voted for, 53 against and one abstained.

The head of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Abelard Tahiri requested that through a resolution oblige the government to withdraw the three draft laws.

The chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo group, Arben Gashi, said that they believe that the motion to withdraw these three draft laws is reasonable as they are anti-constitutional.

Gashi said that the Law on the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, the Law on the Independent Media Commission and the draft law on public officials should be removed from the agenda, as they would be in the wake of unconstitutional laws.

Meanwhile, the head of the Parliamentary Group of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Besnik Tahiri, has given details about the three laws which the opposition asked not to be voted on, emphasizing the damage that could be in the future.

The MP of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Adnan Rrustemi, expressed his conviction that these three draft laws meet the best international standards and that they are a response to the disturbing phenomena in Kosovo.
