PDK demands the resignation of Minister Haxhiu
The member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Pëparim Gruda, through a media conference, has requested the resignation of the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, and has also called on the Special Prosecutor's Office to immediately invite her to an interview to clarify her recent statements regarding prisoner escapes from Kosovo prisons.
Gruda has said that the Kosovo Correctional Service, as an executive security agency operating under the Ministry of Justice, is responsible for these cases.
He said that it is unfortunate that so far there has been no response, no measures and no responsibility from the Ministry of Justice.
Gruda, counting in order all the failures of Minister Haxhiu, has immediately demanded her resignation from this position.
Gruda said that Kosovo needs a new direction in the field of justice that will guarantee the safety of citizens, respect for the law and the return of public trust in the justice system.
