More than 56,000 citizens received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by noon on Saturday. At the vaccination center in Prishtina, over 150 people were immunized with the "Astra Zeneca" vaccine. Meanwhile, more than 300 people were vaccinated throughout Kosovo on Saturday. This was announced by the coordinator of the vaccination center, Niman Bardhi, who added that there are a number of citizens who are waiting for vaccination. The Government of Kosovo has not yet signed any contract for the purchase of vaccines. Currently, citizens are being vaccinated with 38 thousand doses of Astra Zeneca vaccine, which are a donation from COVAX. The first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in Kosovo arrived on March 28.
