During the January-October period, over 80 percent of the victims of violence were women. And according to the president, Vjosa Osmani, these murders could have been prevented if the institutions had acted quickly.

This is what the president the country declared at the meeting of the Council for Democracy and Human Rights, as she spoke about gender equality.

As she said, the responsible institutions should work more in this direction.

She appealed for the inclusion of women in electoral lists, but also in public institutions.
