The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, received the non-resident ambassador of Japan in Kosovo, Akira Mizutani. During the meeting, they discussed the deepening of cooperation between the two countries. The president thanked Ambassador Mizutani for the Japanese support to Kosovo so far, including the increase in the number of scholarships for Kosovar students, given from the Japanese government, as a result of the discussions during the visit to Tokyo last year, the press release states. Ambassador Mizutani praised the stance of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo against Russia's unprovoked war in Ukraine with sanctions against Russia, as well as the stoic attitude towards the Ukrainian people, saying that democracies must remain united.
