Osmani: Concerning that the Special Court accepts evidence from Serbia
President Vjosa Osmani has described as concerning the fact that the Special Court, in the trial of the former KLA leaders, has accepted evidence from the Serbian state.
According to her, it has been historically proven that evidence produced by the Serbian state—especially against Albanians and the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA)—is falsified and aims to rewrite history.
In today’s press conference, Osmani emphasized that the country's institutions, through the Ministry of Justice, have officially expressed concern about the use of such evidence from Serbia.
She added that it is unfortunate that, according to her, “the remnants of Milosevic still lead Serbia,” while highlighting that the mentality of the 1990s continues to dominate the neighboring state.
President Osmani called for institutional and civic unity in defending the values of Kosovo’s liberation war, emphasizing the need to protect the country’s history and sovereignty.
The organizations emerging from the Kosovo Liberation Army war have announced a protest on August 7 at 17:00, as they say, against the injustice being committed by the Special Court in The Hague.
