Former President of Kosovo and lead candidate of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) list for the June 7 elections, Vjosa Osmani, has voted at the “Shkëndija” polling station in Hajvali.

After voting, Osmani expressed hope that the electoral process will be conducted smoothly and contribute to strengthening democracy in Kosovo, as well as to the swift formation of new institutions.

Osmani called on citizens to participate in the elections and exercise their democratic right, stressing that their voice is decisive for the country’s future. She also thanked security institutions, the judiciary, and the media for their engagement during election day.

When asked whether these elections would help overcome institutional deadlocks and enable the election of a president, Osmani expressed optimism that the citizens’ vote would pave the way for the formation of new institutions.

“I am convinced that with the citizens’ vote today, the path will be opened toward the swift formation of institutions and we will come out of the successive crises that have damaged our country. I am very optimistic that today the citizens’ vote will take the country out of the crisis,” she said.

In conclusion, Osmani said she believes election day will be a victory for Kosovo, emphasizing that the results will reflect the will of the citizens and help strengthen the country both domestically and internationally.
