Security expert Agim Musliu has stated that the Serbian List continues to violate Electoral Regulation No. 07/2024 by not respecting the election silence period on voting day.
KosovaPress previously reported that the leader of the Serbian List, Zlatan Elek, together with citizens, voted in an organized manner, as in every other electoral process, participating in the early morning hours. They then went to the technical school where Slavko Simiq also votes.
According to Musliu, today the Serbian List has invited its supporters to gather in front of its offices in North Mitrovica, as well as in other Serb-majority municipalities, at a time when the voting process has begun and the election silence period is officially in effect. In a Facebook post, he emphasized that Electoral Regulation No. 07/2024, Article 8, clearly states that from the opening of polling centers until their closure, political entities and their representatives are prohibited from holding meetings for electoral campaign purposes, as well as gathering officials or activists near polling centers.
He also recalled that during the election campaign, the Serbian List was fined €30,000 following a complaint filed by another Serb political entity in the north of the country for violating electoral law.
“The Serbian List is inviting supporters to gather in front of its offices in North Mitrovica and in other municipalities on the day when voting has begun and the election silence period is officially in effect. For these actions in violation of the regulation, relevant institutions should take legal measures, including the Central Election Commission, the Prosecutor’s Office, and the Kosovo Police. During the election campaign, the Serbian List was fined €30,000 following a complaint from another Serb political entity in the north for violating the electoral law,” Musliu wrote.
