In the region there have been harmful narratives that highlight divisions, said the head of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Aivo Orav. He emphasized that the EU is committed to building a media landscape that is strong, powerful and accountable.

This was said at the opening of the European Union conference which is being held in Pristina for media education "Constructive Journalism: Empowering Informed and Resilient Societies".

The head of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Aivo Orav, stated that this conference is a proof of the commitment to face the most important issues for disinformation.

He added that a recent study highlights the susceptibility to disinformation, including professionals in journalism.

The Minister of Education, Arbërie Nagavci emphasized that media education and the fight against disinformation is a phenomenon that Kosovo is facing every day.

Nagavci emphasized that efforts are being made to introduce media education as a subject in schools in Kosovo.
