At the joint border crossing between Kosovo and North Macedonia, Globoçicë–Jazhincë, as of today, citizens will be subject to the One Stop Shop entry-entry control regime.
The acting Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, stated that this system will help prevent any kind of cross-border crimes.
North Macedonia’s Minister of Internal Affairs Panče Toshkovski expressed hope that the opening of the One Stop Shop would lead to easier movement for citizens of both countries.
"It is a pleasure to inaugurate this border crossing point between North Macedonia and Kosovo, completing the border with Kosovo. With the opening of this border point, we have the opportunity for a faster transfer of citizens between our two countries, similar to what we’ve already seen at the Bllacë crossing, which has proven to be very functional in this way. I hope that this border crossing will also function just as well, enabling a faster transfer for our citizens, with the aim of ensuring better communication between the two countries,” said Toshkovski.
This joint border crossing is one of two joint border points foreseen under the Implementation Protocol of the Agreement between the Government of Kosovo and the Government of North Macedonia for the Joint Border Crossing Points Hani i Elezit–Bllacë and Globoçicë–Jazhincë, signed in November 2024 during the joint meeting of the two governments.
