The Basic Court in Peja has ordered a one-month detention for the defendant E.M., following a request by the Basic Prosecution in Peja.

According to the announcement, the detention measure was ordered due to a well-founded suspicion that the individual committed the criminal offenses of cultivation of narcotic plants and the unauthorized purchase, possession and distribution of narcotic substances, in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kosovo.

“The Court assesses that the imposition of detention is necessary, as there is a risk that the defendant, if released, might flee or escape, bearing in mind the fact that E.M. is not a citizen of the Republic of Kosovo,” the statement says.

It further states that the detention is calculated from December 2, 2025 at 12:00 and lasts until January 1, 2026 at 16:00.
