The Basic Court in Peja, namely the Department for Serious Crimes, with pre-trial judge Shaqë Curri, has ordered a one-month detention measure against the defendant M.N., after he is suspected of having abused a woman in Deçan.

Regarding this case, the Kosovo Police announced on Monday.

“The incident occurred on January 25 at around 00:01,” the Kosovo Police report stated on Monday.

In today’s announcement by the Basic Court in Peja, it is stated that the detention measure was ordered due to well-founded suspicion that the defendant M.N. committed the criminal offense of “Abuse,” under Article 227, paragraph 6 in conjunction with paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as due to the existence of the legal conditions for imposing this measure.

The detention is calculated from the date of the defendant’s arrest, January 26, 2026, at 12:00, and will last until February 25, 2026, at 16:00.
