An old tree has fallen near the building of Radio Television of Kosovo (RTK).

The Director for Security and Emergencies in the Municipality of Pristina, Lulzim Fushtica, said that there were no injuries and the material damage is minor.

He told KosovaPress that traffic will not be reopened until the intervention is completed.

"About an hour ago, an old tree located near Radio Television of Kosovo fell. Fortunately, there were no injuries. The material damage is small, with only one car being slightly damaged. All emergency and municipal teams are at the scene; the firefighters have just finished their work. The greenery company is here to remove the debris and also the parts of the tree. The KEDS teams are also present because an electric pole was damaged, and it needs to be removed and replaced. We have cut off electricity for part of the city due to the risk. Traffic will not be reopened until late hours, until the intervention is completed. The Kosovo Police is here, all teams are here, and everything is under control—there is no cause for panic," he said.
