Oil prices stabilize as hopes rise for peace talks
Oil prices remained stable on Asian markets today, as hopes grow for new peace talks between the United States and Iran.
Donald Trump has suggested that talks could resume “within the next two days”, although Tehran has said it has “no information” regarding any agreement for a second meeting, writes the BBC, reported by KosovaPress.
The price of Brent crude rose by 0.3% to just over $95 per barrel, while U.S.-traded oil fell by 0.3% to just under $91.
Energy prices declined on Tuesday after Trump said the White House had been contacted by Iran in hopes of reaching a deal.
Major Asian markets also posted gains on Wednesday. Japan’s Nikkei 225 index rose by around 1%, while South Korea’s Kospi climbed by 3%.
