The head of the Oilmen's Association in the country, Fadil Berjani, announced that as a result of developments in the Middle East, oil prices in Kosovo have also increased.

Berjani emphasizes that the geopolitical situation in the Middle East is directly affecting oil markets.

"Increasing tensions and the risk of disruptions in production or transportation are increasing uncertainty in global supply, pushing oil prices higher. Attention is particularly focused on the Strait of Hormuz, one of the most important oil transit routes in the world," Berjani wrote on Facebook.

According to him, any problem in that corridor is immediately reflected in the markets and usually translates into higher fuel costs for consumers.

He announced that current prices in Kosovo are for diesel: 1.18 euros to 1.25 euros per liter and gasoline 1.17 euros to 1.24 euros per liter.

Some citizens told KosovaPress today that they had dictated a fuel price increase of around 5 cents per liter yesterday.

Israel and the United States carried out airstrikes on Iran in the early hours of Saturday morning.

They hit several important sites, including the compound of Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
