Official: Serbia’s national team coach resigns

The Football Federation of Serbia has officially announced that the national team coach, Dragan Stojković, has offered his resignation following the loss against Albania in the match held in Leskovac. According to the official statement, Stojković will not travel with the team for the next World Cup qualifying match against Andorra.

In the upcoming match, the Serbian national team will be led by Zoran Mirković, currently the coach of Serbia’s U21 national team. He joined the team in Niš on Sunday morning, together with his technical staff: Strahinja Pandurović, Lazar Tomić, Aleksandar Kirovski, Dejan Odavić, and Bogdan Milicević.

The Federation also announced that on Friday, October 17, after returning from Andorra, the FSS Executive Board will convene to make final decisions regarding the future of the national team’s coaching position and possible changes in leadership.
