Official: Kurti to have lunch with Macron today in Paris
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, will hold a meeting and working lunch today with the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.
The announcement came from the government’s information office, which confirmed that the head of the executive traveled to Paris today.
This visit and meeting mark Kurti’s first engagement since beginning his third mandate as prime minister.
The information office did not provide details about the agenda, but last night the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, claiming to have exclusive information about the meeting, said that Kurti will present two requests to Macron.
According to him, the first is for France to condition Serbia not to use weapons against Albanians, and the second is to support a proposal for NATO to withdraw from the Ground Security Zone on the border with Serbia and for the Kosovo Security Force to take over this role.
