Nurses hold a one-hour strike; they demand the realization of their demands
Nurses, midwives and other public sector health professionals today held a one-hour strike in front of the directorate of the University Hospital and Clinical Service of Kosovo, demanding the increase of the salary coefficient to 7.1, the payment of night shift from 18 to 36 euros, and payment of working days on holidays and weekends. This protest was organized by the Union of Nurses, Midwives and other health professionals.
Elirat Duraku from the presidency of the Nurses' Union said that the demands of this health community are not luxurious, and are demands that have not been realized since the post-war period. Duraku disclosed the requests of nurses and midwives operating in the HUCSK, while emphasizing that all institutions are informed about these requests. The nursing community is requesting the return of the Nursing department to the UCCK and also to have a member on the HUCSK Board.
