Public transport workers from “Trafiku Urban” and private operators will once again block the road today from the Government building to the Municipality of Pristina, as a sign of protest over the debt the latter owes them.

They have announced that the protest will continue until funds are allocated by the Municipality of Pristina.

On Thursday, November 27, an extraordinary session was held at the Municipal Assembly of Pristina, where the transfer of own-source funds in the amount of 28 million euros was voted on. Now, the Ministry of Finance is expected to allocate the money from the treasury to the municipality, in order for the funds to then be allocated to public and private transport operators.

The municipality owes “Trafiku Urban” 2.4 million euros and 2 million euros to private sector operators.

It is worth recalling that since November 24, Trafiku Urban has not been operating, has not provided services to citizens, and has been protesting in front of the Municipality of Pristina.
