After the two indictments that the Special Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kosovo has filed for trial in absentia, this institution of justice is now expected to very soon file new indictments in absentia that mainly relate to cases of rape during the war in Kosovo, but also other war crimes committed by Serbian forces during the last war in the country.

This is what Drita Hajdari, the head of the department for war crimes within the Special Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo, stated in an interview for KosovaPress, who said that they managed to secure relevant evidence for these indictments.

Prosecutor Hajdari emphasized that currently three indictments are being prepared in absentia for sexual violence during the war.
