The General Hospital “Dr. Sami Haxhibeqiri” in Mitrovica has confirmed that during the afternoon hours, two people from Skenderaj sought emergency medical assistance.

This announcement came after claims by the leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement branch in Skenderaj, Hysni Mehani, who alleged that he was beaten by the mayor of the municipality, Sami Lushtaku, and “his gang”.

“The General Hospital ‘Dr. Sami Haxhibeqiri’ in Mitrovica confirms that at 13:10, two people from Skenderaj sought emergency medical assistance. Both individuals have injuries — one has physical injuries to the face and head, while the other has physical injuries/scratches,” the statement said.

It was further announced that medical teams are currently carrying out the necessary examinations, including consultations with medical teams from other hospital departments.
