Businesses in Kosovo are raising the alarm over a new crisis directly affecting their daily operations. Fiscal cash registers can only be serviced in Peja.

Thousands of businesses from all over the country are forced to travel to this city for a process that used to take only a few minutes and was done near their locations, as reported by KosovaPress.

Today, in addition to extra financial costs, waiting times last for days, during which many businesses are paralyzed, unable to issue fiscal receipts, risking legal penalties.

The company “Enternet,” which inherited the services of GeKos, has decided to close all its service offices in Kosovo except for the one in Peja.

Meanwhile, the Kosovo Tax Administration (KTA) has yet to respond to KosovaPress regarding this issue.

Business owners say they are forced to travel to Peja to service their devices since the service is centralized in only one region.

Mentor Berisha, manager of a business in the country, told KosovaPress that the workload at the service centers, especially now that the service can only be done in Peja, is creating ongoing problems for the normal operation of his business.

He emphasized that during summer, the period of highest workload, the process becomes even more complicated due to the flow of work and the need to service several devices simultaneously.
