LDK MP Avdullah Hoti has reacted to President Vjosa Osmani’s statement regarding the issues awaiting review in the Assembly of Kosovo.

The former Prime Minister Hoti wrote on Facebook that the President’s statement today regarding the issues awaiting review in the Assembly of Kosovo is regrettable and, as he put it, “misery.”

“Today’s statement by the head of state regarding the issues awaiting review in the Assembly of Kosovo is regrettable. She knows that for these issues to be reviewed in the Assembly of Kosovo, several constitutional actions related to the formation of institutions emerging from the elections must necessarily be carried out,” Hoti wrote.

According to Hoti, Osmani has joined her ally in the campaign of public pressure against political parties.

“Since she knows this, which is understandable to everyone, she is aligning herself with her ally in the campaign of public pressure against political parties. She even calls on the media to put pressure on political parties. She is joining this campaign, which serves to build misleading narratives for new elections. Nothing new in this regard, as she has acted this way throughout her mandate. On the other hand, she has the Supreme Court ruling that clearly states that members of the government who have taken the oath as MPs are holding government positions unlawfully. She says nothing about this, even though the Constitution of Kosovo obliges her to ensure the constitutional functioning of institutions. So much for her political morality. Misery,” Hoti wrote.

Today, the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, warned that if there is no budget extension for the first three months of 2026, public sector workers might be left without salaries. She raised concern that if this is not achieved and the budget for next year is not approved, citizens might be left without food on the table and without medicine in hospitals. The head of state appealed to the MPs of the Assembly to act in the interest of the citizens and the state, as according to her, throughout 2025 they have done nothing.
