The Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sports, Hajrulla Çeku, has been denied a visit to the Presevo Valley.

This was announced by the Mayor of Presevo, Ardita Sinani, who stated that discrimination against Albanians continues.

Presevo, Medvedja, and Bujanoc are three municipalities inhabited mainly by Albanians in the south of Serbia.

"For the second time, the government of Vučić has prevented Minister Hajrulla Çeku from visiting Presevo. This is another act of Serbian nationalist politics, which hides behind a pro-European facade, but in reality, it feeds an authoritarian regime that violates human rights and the rights of minorities," wrote Sinani on Facebook on Wednesday.

Sinani stated that Presevo is determined to maintain ties with all Albanian settlements and to strengthen cooperation with Kosovo and Albania.

"Unfortunately, this regime [of Serbia] continues to be pampered by the West for geostrategic reasons, while Albanians in the Presevo Valley face discrimination and isolation. But we will not stop," said Sinani.
