The Director of the Kosovo Law Institute, Ehat Miftaraj, has reacted after the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, withdrew her request submitted to the Constitutional Court regarding the legal consequences of the failure to constitute the Assembly of Kosovo within the thirty-day deadline. He stated that national security is not protected through press conferences.

In a press conference, Osmani said she withdrew the request because the reporting judge assigned to the case was Radomir Laban, and that he, according to security institutions, poses a threat to national security.

In his reaction, Miftaraj wrote on Facebook that the Constitutional Court should not be attacked in this way by the President of the Republic.

"Regarding Judge Laban, the Kosovo Law Institute had publicly opposed his appointment. Nevertheless, national security is safeguarded and maintained by competent authorities, never through the politicization of the Constitutional Court and such attacks from the Presidency. This is a mistake and the creation of a new culture that seriously undermines the independence and integrity of the Constitutional Court," he wrote.
