The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MESTI) has announced that it has sent the catalog of school textbooks for grades 1 to 5 for the 2025/2026 school year to all municipal directorates of education, along with the links to the winning textbooks of publishing houses, which are now available to teachers.

According to MESTI, this step has been taken to improve the quality of education, selecting the most appropriate textbooks for students and ensuring transparency and professionalism in the selection process.

“The selection of textbooks must be made exclusively from the catalog approved by MESTI, in accordance with the applicable legislation. This process will be carried out by the professional teacher groups in each municipality. MESTI states that this process is being monitored and encourages teachers to carry out the task of selecting the most suitable textbooks for students with responsibility and dedication. The deadline for submitting the selected catalog from the Municipal Education Directorates (MED) to MESTI is July 15, 2025”, the announcement states.
