During the session of the European Parliament where the report on Kosovo for 2022 was discussed, some MEPs called on the five European Union countries that do not recognize the independence of Kosovo, to do so. According to them, Spain, Cyprus, Romania, Greece and Slovakia, by refusing recognition for domestic reasons, are encouraging Serbia in its efforts to destabilize and provoke a possible conflict in the region.

Austrian MP Thomas Waitz also talked about the recent agreements that have been refused to be signed by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. He stated that an unsigned agreement is a failed agreement.
