Mayor of Skenderaj, Sami Lushtaku, has reacted following claims by the Vetëvendosje Movement that he punched the party’s Hysni Mehani.

Lushtaku said that Albin Kurti’s government, through its mechanisms, attempted to attack him today in Skenderaj.

“Albin Kurti’s government, through its mechanisms, attempted to attack me today in Skenderaj. I have spent my whole life serving the country, while labels such as ‘Sami Serbia’ are no longer tolerated by citizens, which is why they reacted,” Lushtaku wrote, KosovaPress reports.

Meanwhile, the Vetëvendosje Movement posted a photo of Mehani in which he appears bloodied and with injuries to his face, saying in its reaction that Mehani was attacked with punches and struck in the head with a glass.
