The Coalition of NGOs for Child Protection – KOMF, has launched the platform “MEGAFON", an innovative and inclusive space aimed at amplifying the voice of children and young people in Kosovo.

The event, moderated by a child, brought together representatives from institutions, organizations, and an international expert to mark this new step toward greater child participation in decision-making processes, reports KosovaPress.

KOMF President Remzije Krasniqi stated that the platform will enable children to influence decision-making.

“Through MEGAFON, we hope that in addition to expressing their opinions, children will also have the opportunity to influence decisions on matters they believe in,” she said.

KOMF’s Executive Director, Donjetë Kelmendi, also highlighted the importance of the platform.

“The MEGAFON platform aims to encourage and activate children’s participation in decision-making on issues that affect them,” she said.

International child rights expert George Bogdanov also spoke on the importance of this initiative.

“I’m lucky to be here today to launch this program for child participation. If we don’t teach our children how to participate, then who will?” he said.

MEGAFON is expected to serve as a bridge between children and institutions, creating an environment where their voices are heard and respected.
