Within this week, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, are expected to send invitations to the leaders of the opposition parties for a meeting. The topic of discussions in these meetings that will be held separately with the opposition will be the vetting process, which Minister Haxhiu herself promises to close within her mandate. In an interview for KosovaPress, Minister Haxhiu said that justice reform requires political unification, so she said that together with Kurti they have planned meetings with the opposition parties. For this process which as a government was planned throughout the justice system, but the Venice Commission then recommended that vetting be done only for the heads of the KPC, KJC and chief prosecutors and court presidents, the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu says that somewhere in April 2023, the transitional mechanism for the vetting process will start working.
