The Secretary General of the Kosovo Olympic Committee, Besim Aliti, has shared images on social media from the “Iacovone” Stadium in Taranto, which has been reconstructed as part of preparations for the Taranto 2026 Mediterranean Games.

In a Facebook post, Aliti emphasized that the stadium represents an investment that will not only serve the Mediterranean Games, but also the city of Taranto, which has around 185,000 inhabitants. He praised such sports infrastructure, saying it creates long-term value for the community and the development of sports.

Referring to the organization of the Prishtina 2030 Mediterranean Games, Aliti expressed hope that Kosovo’s capital will also benefit from a modern stadium of this level. According to him, such an investment would be an important legacy for Kosovo’s sport and future generations.
