MCYS donates about 600 book titles to 32 municipal libraries
From today, the 32 municipal libraries will have about 600 more book titles on their shelves. This was made possible by the donation given by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, for which around 1 million euros were allocated from the budget of Kosovo. The library of Presheva Valley, Ulcinj and Manastir will also be included in this donation.
The Deputy Minister of Culture, Daulina Osmani, said that in addition to the increase in the number of books, there is also a continuous increase in the support and attention of MCYS to the book.
Meanwhile, the head of the Book Council, Nerimane Kamberi, has added that they will be more committed to the book being present in every corner even beyond the borders.
Likewise, the director of the National Library of Kosovo, Blerina Rugova-Gaxha, stated that this made the role of municipal libraries and the National Library vital in preserving the cultural and intellectual heritage in documenting the history of Kosovo.
This activity is annual and serves to enrich the library fund in the entire territory of Kosovo and beyond. /A. Shala/
