The new coach of the Albanian national team, Rolando Maran, has been officially presented as the head of the red and blacks, expressing his emotions and goals at his first press conference.

The Italian coach praised the spirit of the Albanian national team, the atmosphere surrounding the team, and the support of the fans, while promising that his team will reflect aggression, character, and pride on the field.

Speaking about his feelings after taking charge of Albania, Maran said he considers it a great responsibility and pride.

“I have followed the Albanian national team closely, and for that you have all my compliments. I thank the president for giving me the opportunity to coach a national team that represents a people with great pride, being close to your home, something I have always perceived. It is a great pride for me, and the promise is to try to transfer that love for this jersey onto the field by giving everything from within me,” Maran initially emphasized.

The Italian coach also spoke about the identity he wants to give the Albanian team, stressing an aggressive style and strength in play.

“I like to have an aggressive team; we must demonstrate that we are strong on the field. This is my DNA, and I want to transmit it,” Maran stressed.

Maran also addressed Albania’s objectives, highlighting the potential the current squad has to compete even against stronger opponents.
