A traffic police officer was injured after being hit by a car driven by a motorist who failed to obey an order to stop.

The incident occurred on Sunday evening in Vushtrri. The suspect had previously insulted the police officer who was directing traffic, then struck him with the vehicle and fled in an unknown direction.

A police search has now been launched for the suspect.
