LVV secures its 53rd seat in the Kosovo Assembly, LDK drops to 18 seats

The Vetëvendosje Movement has secured 53 seats in the Assembly of Kosovo after the counting of most diaspora votes and diplomatic missions, while the counting process has not yet been completed. Following recent changes in the allocation of mandates, LVV gained its 53rd seat at the expense of the LDK.

The latter (LDK) now holds 18 seats.

According to the latest results from the Central Election Commission (CEC), LVV leads with 47.07% of the vote, collecting 374,995 votes and 53 seats in the Assembly. It is followed by the Democratic Party of Kosovo with 22 mandates and 19.49% of the vote, while the Democratic League of Kosovo has secured 18 seats with 16.74%. The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo holds 7 mandates with 6.73% of the vote.

However, the final result remains open. According to CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi, the counting of postal votes will be completed today, while the counting of conditional votes will begin.
