In Fushë Kosovë, specifically at the “Mihal Grameno” Voting Center, by 10:00 a.m., 1,022 voters had cast their ballots.
At this voting center, 12,297 citizens are eligible to vote, spread across 14 polling stations.
“At this voting center, there are 12,297 registered voters with the right to vote, and there are 14 polling stations. From 7:00 to 10:00, according to the information we’ve received, 1,022 people have voted... Things are going well; we haven’t had any notable incidents, everything is in order. There are a few minor issues, but they are easily managed — mostly misunderstandings or clarifications of certain situations. No problems so far,” said Gashi.
A citizen of this municipality, Aziz Qera, had gone to vote at this center but found that his polling station had been changed.“We are hoping for something good, hopefully things will go well. Burim Berisha has been the mayor until now — we’ll see what happens next, I don’t know what to say... They assigned me to a polling station past the Mosque, quite far away, even though my apartment is here,” he said.
Meanwhile, another citizen, Ramush Mali, hopes that parks will be improved in this municipality and that crowds and long queues will be reduced.
Today, citizens of the Republic of Kosovo are exercising their constitutional right to vote. These are the regular local elections, held in 38 municipalities across Kosovo.
A total of 93 political entities have been certified to participate in these elections, including 32 political parties, 2 coalitions, 32 citizens’ initiatives, and 27 independent candidates.
The total number of certified candidates representing these political entities is 5,624, including 205 candidates running for mayor and 5,419 candidates for municipal assemblies.
