The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) considers that the Kurti Government does not have minimum knowledge, vision, capacity, and plan to solve the problem with electricity, referring to high electricity bills. They say that the LDK is the only party that has a specific vision and program to improve this situation.

In a press conference, the member of the LDK leadership, Visar Azemi, said that due to the incompetence of the Kurti Government, citizens are being forced to pay staggering and unaffordable electricity bills.

He said that for three years this government has not increased the power generation capacity by one megawatt.

Further, he said that this government does not have the experience to solve the problem with electricity, while criticizing the Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, regarding the decisions taken on projects related to electricity.

Azemi emphasized that the government is not doing anything to fulfill the goal that Kosovo will achieve 30 percent of electricity from renewable sources by 2031.

Among other things, Azemi emphasized that unlike the Kurti government, the Democratic League of Kosovo has a specific vision and program for solving the problem with electricity.

According to him, the construction of the power plant with American gas, the actual rehabilitation of the Kosova B power plant, the focus on renewable energy, the reduction of VAT to zero percent for electricity bills, and other actions would be done by the LDK, to solve this issue.

Azemi publicly invited the Minister of Economy Artane Rizvanolli to a debate to talk about this situation. /Z. Zeneli/
