Lack of ramps at a polling center, voter in Deçan complains
The largest polling center in Deçan, located at the “Vëllezërit Frashëri” high school, has not provided any ramps for the elderly or people with walking difficulties. They are required to climb the stairs to reach the voting area.
Citizen Met Kukalaj, who has mobility problems, faced difficulties reaching the polling station at this location.
Although he had expected that someone would be assigned to assist people with special needs, he said that once again, this did not happen.
Regarding this concern, the manager of the “Vëllezërit Frashëri” Polling Center — the largest in Deçan — Hamit Qorraj stated that the school’s infrastructure dates back to the 1970s. He said that they had informed the Municipal Election Commission (MEC) officials about the issue.
