Prime Minister Albin Kurti at the solemn meeting of the Government of Kosovo, in honor of the 16th anniversary of Kosovo's Independence, said that Kosovo is taking appropriate steps on its way to the European future.

He underlined the role of Kosovo's international allies and partners for the consolidation of its statehood.

"We survived the genocide at the end of the 20th century, after the devastating war of 1998-1999 we rebuilt our homes. With the support of our international allies and partners, we built the common home, the Republic of Kosovo. A genuine parliamentary Republic with justice and equality for its citizens, contributing to peace and guaranteeing peace. A state that has democratic values and respect for human rights and all minorities, social justice and solidarity at the core of every political and social course", said Kurti.
