Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that during his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron they discussed strengthening defence capabilities and relations with Kosovo’s northern neighbour.
During a working lunch on Friday afternoon, Kurti said that for about two hours at the Élysée Palace they discussed topics related to integration, security, defence, and the country’s economy.
In his address to the government cabinet, Kurti emphasized that the engagement of French partners in preparations for hosting the 2030 Mediterranean Games is very important.
“Strengthening defence capabilities and relations with Kosovo’s northern neighbour were issues we discussed with the French President in the context of our country’s security. The organization of new Kosovo–France business forums, as a continuation of the successful one held last month in Pristina, as well as plans and investments in education, were also topics of the meeting. The supportive role and engagement of our French friends in preparations for hosting the 2030 Mediterranean Games in our country is very important,” he added.
