The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, will participate today in the Investment Summit in the Western Balkans 2024, which will be held at the EBRD headquarters in London.

The six heads of government from the region, who have confirmed their participation, will participate in this activity.

The aim of the Summit is to highlight potential investment and business opportunities in the Western Balkans region and to promote regional and cross-border projects.

This is the sixth EBRD summit of this kind.

The inaugural Western Balkans Summit took place 10 years ago, in February 2014, and, for the first time, brought together all the prime ministers of the region.

The Western Balkans is a priority region for the EBRD. The EBRD remains one of the largest institutional investors in the countries of the region, with more than €18 billion invested to date.

The traditional highlight of the Summit – the interactive Prime Ministers' Session – will see regional leaders and the EBRD president address the audience with their overall vision for the region, key regional projects and investment opportunities at the regional level and in each of the countries of the region, including Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia.

The session will have extended questions and answers with foreign investors, reports ATSH.

As the green transition is the Bank's top priority in the region, there will be a special panel on Green Energy in the Western Balkans, which will bring together key policy makers (expected at ministerial level) and investors for a discussion on maximizing of private capital.
