However, if no agreement is reached between Vetëvendosje and NISMA, Kurti said he does not know what will happen after July 26 — the date set by the Constitutional Court’s ruling for the constitution of the Assembly of Kosovo. In the meantime, he emphasized that the acting government must continue to govern with limited competencies.
During the press conference, in response to journalists' questions, Kurti said he cannot speak about the offer made to NISMA until an agreement is finalized later this week, at which point the details will be shared.
Finally, the acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that they are giving the ongoing talks with NISMA a chance in order to constitute the Assembly of Kosovo, expressing his belief that such cooperation is possible.
Kurti called for patience until the weekend, saying that by then they will either announce an agreement or reveal what will happen after the 30-day deadline. There are only two sessions left before July 26 — the deadline set by the Constitutional Court to form the Assembly of Kosovo, and there is still no political agreement to resolve the ongoing deadlock. /A.
