The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has stated that the basic agreement between Kosovo and Serbia constitutes an advancement of relations between the two states and it is based on the universal principles of equality of sovereigns, respect for territorial integrity, independence, renouncing objections to Kosovo's membership in international organizations, exchange of diplomatic missions through full ambassadors, recognition of state symbols and passports.

Kurti made these comments at the conference held today by the Balkan Group for Politics with the theme "Balkan Dialogues Initiative".
