The incumbent Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, sent a request for an opinion to the Venice Commission regarding the powers of the President of Kosovo, on dissolving the Assembly and on his powers to nominate a candidate for Prime Minister, after the no- confidence motion.

According to the Government, in line with the situation created in Kosovo, an opinion from the Venice Commission would serve to strengthen the democracy and the constitutional law.
