Kosovo’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti has received a congratulatory letter on his new government mandate from the Chancellor of the Republic of Austria, Christian Stocker.

In the letter, Stocker paid special attention to Kosovo’s ongoing progress toward European Union integration.

“I also want to congratulate you on the formation of your new government and wish you success in the new legislature, particularly regarding the continued progress toward European Union integration and good neighborly relations. Austria has supported the Republic of Kosovo since its establishment and will continue to support Kosovo on its European path,” Chancellor Stocker said in the letter, according to a statement from Prime Minister Kurti’s Office.

Chancellor Stocker emphasized that in these geopolitically turbulent times, strong relations between countries and peoples are more important than ever.

“He highly valued the active role of the Kosovo diaspora in Austria and the close economic cooperation between the two states, while noting that he looks forward to meeting Prime Minister Kurti again,” the statement added.

According to the announcement, Stocker also congratulated Prime Minister Kurti on his birthday.
