While the Constitutional Court ruled two days ago that the constitutive session of the Assembly of Kosovo has not been completed, Kurti briefly stated that the full judgment must be awaited.
Asked by journalists about the publication of the ruling, Kurti said briefly: “let’s wait for the judgment.”
The Constitutional Court of Kosovo announced that the constitutive session of the Assembly of Kosovo has not been completed.
The Constitutional Court ruled that the Constitutive Session of the Assembly, which began on April 15, 2025, has not been concluded due to the failure to elect the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly from among the MPs of the Serb community, and therefore the Assembly has not been constituted in accordance with paragraph 1 of Article 66 [Election and Mandate] and paragraphs 1 and 4 of Article 67 [Election of the Speaker and Deputy Speakers] of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo.On September 30, 2025, the Constitutional Court of Kosovo ruled on request KO265/25, regarding the assessment of the constitutionality of the “Minutes of the sessions of the Assembly of Kosovo,” as well as the decisions issued within the framework of the Constitutive Session on August 26 and 28, 2025, submitted by Igor Simic and 9 (nine) other MPs of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, based on paragraph 5 of Article 113 [Jurisdiction and Authorized Parties] of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo.
