The member of the Central Election Commission (CEC) from the ranks of Vetëvendosje, Sami Kurteshi, refused to answer journalists’ questions regarding the certification of the Serb List and the decision of the Election Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP), which, through its ruling, requested the certification of this party for the October 12 local elections.

After today’s CEC meeting, Kurteshi said he would not speak to the media on this matter.

Asked by a journalist, “why in 2023 did you decide to allocate 300 thousand euros to the Serb List,” he called the journalist in question “ill-mannered.”

“How ill-mannered,” he said.

At today’s meeting of the Central Election Commission, its member from Vetëvendosje, Alban Krasniqi, placed a sign at the entrance of the meeting reading “Yes to pluralism, no to terrorism.” This action came after the decision of the Election Complaints and Appeals Panel, which requested the Central Election Commission to certify the Serb List for participation in the October 12, 2025 local elections.

During this meeting, as part of efforts to improve voter lists, the removal of 1,514 deceased persons was also approved.
