The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports on Monday decided in public consultation the Regulation for the Categorization of Sports and the Regulation for the Categorization of Athletes and Coaches.

This regulation defines the rules, criteria and procedures for the categorization of sports in the Republic of Kosovo. This regulation determines the scoring of sports federations based on massiveness, quality, status, activity and capacity building. The financing of sports federations will be based on the categorization of sports, reports KosovaPress.

The first public comment about this draft was given by the judo coach Driton Kuka, who commented on the way in which the athletes who win elite medals are categorized.
