The Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi says that the MPs of the Serbian List do not have the will to vote the law on local self-government and the law on official holidays, despite the fact that only the rights of the communities are advanced. In a press conference, Krasniqi said that the law on the performance management system of municipalities and the performance-based grant scheme was drafted based on the strategic priorities of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and in accordance with the legislative plan of 2021- 2022. "The voting of this law means an additional opportunity for the expansion of the legal framework of local government in Kosovo in order to improve the capacities of the municipalities for the provision of public services within their own competences. This law will fully regulate the legal aspect of the municipal performance management system, which in itself provides a control tool for the municipality, and a monitoring instrument for the supervisory authorities, to evaluate the connections between the municipal strategic objectives, legal obligations and daily actions of municipal administration", said the Minister.
